The pipeline
How it works
Export your Instagram history
Export your Instagram posts and story history, then upload the ZIP file to Royalty Ready.
We detect your gigs
Royalty Ready scans your posts, stories, captions, and metadata to identify likely live performances. Then we match each venue name to its likely address, helping turn old social history into clean gig records.
Review and edit each gig
You confirm or correct what we found. Nothing is submitted anywhere without your approval.
Lodge your APRA report
Royalty Ready prepares your confirmed gig history for APRA AMCOS. Our Chrome extension helps pre-fill the Performance Report form, so you can review the details and submit it yourself.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
- Is Royalty Ready affiliated with APRA AMCOS?
- No. Royalty Ready is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to APRA AMCOS. We help you find past live performances and prepare the information APRA AMCOS asks for in a Performance Report. You review everything and submit it yourself through your own APRA AMCOS account.
- How far back can I claim live performance royalties?
- Royalty Ready scans up to three years of your social media history for past gigs. How far back APRA AMCOS accepts Performance Reports is set by their current rules, so always check the reporting window in your APRA AMCOS member portal before submitting older performances.
- What do I need to upload?
- A data export ZIP from Instagram or Facebook. Both platforms let you download your own post history from their settings. Royalty Ready scans your posts, stories, captions, and gig posters to detect likely live performances, then matches venue names to their likely addresses.
- Does Royalty Ready submit reports to APRA AMCOS for me?
- No, you stay in control. Royalty Ready prepares each confirmed gig, and our Chrome extension pre-fills the APRA AMCOS Performance Report form in your browser. You review the details and press submit yourself. Nothing is ever submitted without your approval.
- Do I need to be an APRA AMCOS member?
- Yes, live performance royalties are paid by APRA AMCOS to their members, so you need your own APRA AMCOS writer membership to submit Performance Reports and receive payments. Membership is free to join for eligible songwriters; see the APRA AMCOS website for their current criteria.
- What happens to my data?
- Your export is processed to detect gigs. Posts that look like live performances are kept as evidence you can review, and you can delete your data at any time. We never post to your accounts or share your data with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
